On 31 August, 2026 Guaranteed Electrical joined in celebrating the opening for the new Kaipātiki Ora Geothermal Wellness Hub. The project was a partnership between Te Poari o Kaipātiki ki Kaipara and Belgravia Leisure, with support from Te Kaunihera o Tāmaki Makaurau – Auckland Council.

The opening, led by Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara – Te Taoū, signified a new premium wellness experience at Kaipātiki Hot Springs in Parakai.
Guaranteed Electrical was proud to support this project by providing electrical services in the new wellness centre, laying new mains cables capable of supporting three brand new 9-kilowatt saunas, 5 outdoor spas, and 3 ice baths, each with a 700-watt draw.

To enhance safety for all visitors, we installed new security systems and cameras throughout the facility, linking back to a central server, and repaired and installed new lighting for improved nighttime swimming experiences.

The trickiest part of working on the project was navigating around the public to ensure their leisure activities went uninterrupted.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the project, as it creates a unique and improved experience to our local area. It continues Parakai’s rich legacy as a popular destination for geothermal hot springs – dating back to the late 19th- and early 20th- centuries, and prior to that by local iwi (Ngāti Whātua).
